Welcome to a look back at Sooke's Canada Day Celebrations 2000
It was held at "The Flats" on the Sooke River
Saturday July 1, 2000 in Sooke, British Columbia

Musicians: Andrew Moore, Dave Gallant and John Pimm were among the many entertainers.

School art contest winners received awards for posters on "what living in Sooke and being a proud Canadian means to me".

Legion Branch 54 flag bearers, Rick Kasper, RCMP Officer and Mel Dobres of the Film Society

There was FREE Canada Day cake, and food booths by non profit groups.

Judithe Ann Gatto was given a bouquet of red roses for her work in organizing the Canada Day event.

The Film Society sold popcorn- Mel Dobres was one of the musical MC's.
